              A non-profit humanitarian foundation to:
"Assist and stabilize traumatized victims of a disaster through early crisis intervention and emotional support."

Utilizing disaster relief canines, this is achieved with professional handlers trained in critical incident stress management to mitigate disabling traumatic stress and restore the victim to a state of adaptive functioning.

organizations and agencies ~ we will be providing more information
on ways those trained in Canine Disaster Relief Services
can respond and offer assistance during nation disaster and
critical incidents.

Education and Training

The K-9 Disaster Relief and Training Academy  provides courses to educate and train handlers and
other multidisciplinary professionals in the fields of

Canine Trauma Specialist ~ CTS ~

Individual Crisis Intervention  ~ CISM ~

K-9 Disaster Relief partners and collaborates with, Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), American Red Cross, Salvation Army Disaster Services, VOAD and state/county government agencies, airlines, labor unions, industry, private companies and the community.
It brings to bear combined resources and expertise in trauma and crisis intervention to meet the immediate and ongoing psychological needs of victims in crisis.
 

To that end, K-9 Disaster Relief provides national certificate courses in
Canine Disaster Relief Services® [CDRS]

and Canine Trauma Specialist (CTS)
